To celebrate the Western Festival’s 40th anniversary, the Township of Alfred and Plantagenet is organizing a community artwork event that will be held on July 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Denis St-Pierre Park.
We are seeking your input on the content of this artwork, which will be created on the concrete block located between the baseball field and the splash pad.

The public consultation will be open until May 1st, 2026.
We will review your ideas with community leaders and will do our best to incorporate them into the concept.
If you wish to participate and help create this beautiful piece of art, registration to the event will be open on May 4th. You must be 10 years of age and older to register. Only 60 people will get the chance to paint.
There will also be an opportunity for younger children and for those who did not get the chance to register to leave a mark on the concrete block. You'll find out how, on the day of the event. Everyone is welcome!

Une idée qui pourrait être intéressante serait d'ajouter les visages en peinture de personnes ayant eu un impact pour le festival depuis le début (organisateurs ayant laissé leur marque). Il pourrait aussi y avoir une ligne du temps artistique (avant à aujourd’hui).

La rivière évidement! Le festival Western, les soupés de bines, le Capitaine Wendo de l’école St-Joseph, la pêche, les anciennes terres, les organismes communautaires, les activités communautaires (baseball, la patinoire, le parc, les jeux d’eaux)…
